What does the Communications Specialist role involve?
The Comms role is one of the most important in the team. Your aim is to represent your team and StreetDoctors online, increase the reach of StreetDoctors locally and nationally, and aid communication across the charity. Keeping your social media updated and on brand is key!
Externally the role involves:
- Looking after and updating social media accounts
- Publicity for your team’s events, fundraising and recruitment
- Coordinating media & press activity (always contact Frances frances@streetdoctors.org first!!)
- Coordinating involvement in local campaigns
Internally the role involves:
- Sharing messages from HQ with your team
- Promoting national StreetDoctors events & training & fundraising with your team
