I manage our work in London by looking after our delivery partners, six volunteer teams, coordinating with grassroots organisations and other stakeholders such as the Young Foundations. I also represent StreetDoctors at sector conferences and, most recently, as Newham Council’s keynote speaker.
StreetDoctors’ peer to peer approach is unique. It puts young people back in the frame, recognising their power as changemakers and providing a space in which they can connect and learn from each other, empowering them to save lives.
My background is in social justice, ranging from campaigning on the streets of Woolwich to discussing alternatives to imprisonment with formerly incarcerated men in Chicago. I completed my MSc in Politics in Amsterdam, writing my thesis on the wellbeing of refugees.
Outside of StreetDoctors
I’m trying to improve my yoga and general levels of fitness, with the occasional game of netball thrown in. Usually, you’ll find me on a walk with my little cockapoo called Halle.
