I manage our work in the Northern region by looking after our delivery partners and seven volunteer teams – Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, Sheffield, Leeds, Hull and Newcastle. I coordinate with grassroots organisations and other key stakeholders and develop relationships with new partners, helping to increase our impact in the North.
Why StreetDoctors?
After working in areas where crime and violence rates were high, I saw first-hand the impact of this on the young people living there. I love that StreetDoctors always puts young people’s needs at the centre, making sure their voices are heard, and empowering and enabling them to become a part of the solution to street violence.
Background
After training to become a teacher, I have gone on to work with young people in a variety of settings, supporting them both academically and pastorally. In previous roles, I have worked with partners, communities and volunteers in helping young people to achieve their full potential.
Outside of StreetDoctors
Outside of StreetDoctors, you’ll often find me spending time with my family and friends. I love to read and try out lots of different water sports, my favourite being stand-up paddleboarding – the water is one of my favourite places to be!
