#8MinutesToSaveALife campaign

It takes 8 minutes for an ambulance to arrive on the scene of a stabbing, and in that time you could help save a life.

8 Minutes to Save a Life is our latest campaign to give you the confidence to act as a first responder if you come across a victim of a knife attack.

StreetDoctors have teamed up with design agency Livity and 6 young TikTok influencers.

Visit #8MinutesToSaveALife on TikTok to watch influencers tackle a set of challenges, showing what can be achieved if they ‘apply pressure’ to their chosen tasks for 8 minutes – the time it could also take you to save a life while waiting for an ambulance to arrive. 

Remember – here’s what you can do to save the life of a knife attack victim in 8 minutes in 3 key steps:

  1. Call an ambulance
  2. Check it’s safe to help
  3. Apply pressure to the wound
