Rachele Ferrario

Regional Development Coordinator

I manage our work in the South West and South Wales regions by looking after our delivery partners and volunteer teams – Bristol, Exeter, Swansea, and Cardiff. I coordinate with grassroots organisations and other key stakeholders and develop relationships with new partners, helping to increase our impact in the Southwest and South Wales.

Why StreetDoctors?

StreetDoctors is a wonderful charity which aims to put young people at the heart of the work they do. I am inspired by the volunteers, partners, and communities we work with and truly believe that by empowering young people we can make a difference. I believe in the mission and values of the organisation and am deeply grateful to be part of something that brings about such positive change.

Background

I have previously worked with children and young people within both the charity sector and statutory services. I also have first class degree from the University of Bristol in Childhood Studies and Management which allowed me to develop an excellent understanding of the issues young people might face and the skills necessary to bring about the change that is so much needed.

Outside of StreetDoctors

Alongside youth work, I am particularly interested in environmental and human rights issues. Whenever I get a bit of time off, I love going back home to Northen Italy to see my friends and family and go hiking in the Alps. I also love travelling and exploring nature. When it is too cold and grey to do that, you will often find me reading a book, crocheting, or trying some new recipe in the kitchen.
