Overseas

While StreetDoctors is a UK-based charity, our mission and approach have inspired international interest.

Our belief — that young people can be part of the solution to violence — resonates globally, particularly in communities affected by street violence, trauma, and inequality.

Over recent years, we’ve begun working with international partners to explore how our model can be adapted and delivered in other countries. This includes sharing our training resources, expertise, and insights with organisations who are equally committed to empowering young people through first aid education and public health approaches to violence prevention.

Our international work is still growing, but early collaborations have shown how our approach can be a powerful tool for change beyond the UK. We are proud to support partners around the world who share our values and our belief in young people as changemakers.

Anguilla

In September 2024 the StreetDoctors UK’s team visited Anguilla to deliver a young leaders project focused on reducing street violence. The project trained a team of 19  young leaders who gained the skills, knowledge and confidence to peer education other young people in the community.

Following the completion of the programme, together we celebrated a major milestone in Anguilla’s efforts to address youth violence with the very first StreetDoctors Anguilla Certificate and Recognition Ceremony. This event honoured the dedication and achievement of the young participants who successfully completed the training.

Proudly known as StreetDoctors Anguilla, this inaugural cohort has gone on to deliver training to their peers across the island. Their work has sparked important conversations about the wider needs of the community, particularly the psychological impact of violence on young people.
