Why StreetDoctors?

Putting young people at the centre of the solution is incredibly powerful.
StreetDoctors creates meaningful change by doing exactly that. I’m inspired not only by their mission to end violence affecting young people, but also by their practices that empower and amplify the voice, agency, and power of young people.

Background

I have 10 years of experience working with children and young people, during which I’ve been involved with small grassroots organisations, the charity sector, and schools. I’m passionate about engaging young people in the issues that matter to them, and youth voice has been a central focus throughout my career. Additionally, as a qualified coach, I value using coaching techniques to support and empower others to reach their goals.

Outside of StreetDoctors

I love being active and getting out in nature, whether that’s going for a run, swim or on a long hike. I love a long walk and being in the north means I am spoilt for choice, from the Yorkshire moors and dales, to the lake district. I am a football fan, especially the women’s game, I follow WSL and the Lionesses.
