StreetDoctors reached a record 20,364 young people nationally, marking continued and significant growth for the charity.
StreetDoctors has trained 20,364 young people across the UK in 2025, equipping them with vital skills and knowledge around the physical and psychological consequences of street violence.
Since 2008, StreetDoctors has been working with young people nationwide, delivering training on the consequences of street violence, alongside life-saving emergency first-aid skills.
StreetDoctors approach looks to develop young people’s confidence and willingness to protect themselves and others, whilst playing an active role in reducing violence within their communities.
StreetDoctors’ training is delivered by a growing movement of more than 200 young healthcare volunteers, including doctors, nurses and paramedics, who are committed to using their expertise to make a difference beyond clinical settings.
Volunteers work in partnership with a wide range of organisations including criminal justice services, schools, pupil referral units, and youth, sports and community groups.
Chief Executive Officer of StreetDoctors, Martin Tilbury MBE, said: “Our mission is to empower young people to keep themselves safe, save lives, and be part of the solution to street violence. Every young person we reach is another person with the confidence, skills and understanding to act as a first responder if an incident occurs, and to help prevent violence in their community.
“Whether our training is delivered as an early intervention or in response to an incident, we focus on giving young people the knowledge and perspective they need to imagine and build a future without violence.”
In its first ten years as a charity, StreetDoctors trained 25,000 young people. In contrast, the organisation has trained over 45,000 young people in the past three years alone, reflecting rapid growth, increased demand, and the dedication of its volunteer workforce.
