StreetDoctors were honoured to be invited onto the new series of Crimewatch Live as the BBC marks 40 years of Crimewatch.
Broadcasting live from the Cardiff studios with presenters Rav Wilding and Michelle Ackerley, we had the opportunity to share the lifesaving work StreetDoctors does in empowering young people to keep themselves and others safe.
We demonstrated elements of our Reducing Violence Programme, where we train young people in the physical and psychological consequences of violence and give them the skills, knowledge and confidence to act if an incident was to occur.
The feature was also an opportunity to showcase and discuss our current national campaign The Fatal Question where we challenge the deadly myth that a person can be stabbed without causing serious or fatal harm.
A huge thank you to the Crimewatch Team for inviting us to speak, and to our incredible volunteer Millie-Mae and our CEO, Martin Tilbury MBE, for shining a light on youth violence prevention and the power of education .
