I oversee the delivery of our life-saving first aid training to young people across the UK. Working collaboratively with staff, volunteers and partners, I ensure our programmes are inclusive, high-quality and empowering, supporting our vision to reach more young people to equip them with the skills and confidence to save lives.
Why StreetDoctors?
Through my work, I have seen first-hand the challenges young people face and the significant gap between their real-life experiences and the education they receive. Too often, young people are expected to navigate complex and difficult situations without the tools, understanding, or confidence to do so safely. This is why I am motivated to work with Street Doctors as they provide education in a trauma-informed, empowering way that meets young people where they are, values their lived experiences, and equips them with practical skills that can make a difference in their lives and communities.
Background
I originally trained as an A-Level Psychology teacher, where I developed a strong interest in pastoral care, safeguarding, behaviour, and the teaching of life skills. Driven by a belief in supporting young people as whole individuals, I moved into a leadership role and became Head of these services in a large college. In this position, I worked strategically and relationally to help young people overcome barriers in life, learning and engagement.
Outside of StreetDoctors
I spend my time with my family enjoying woodland adventures, messy play, and always carrying a bag full of snacks. I’m currently learning digital drawing and love taking long walks with my greyhound.
