Frances Breeveld

I joined StreetDoctors in November 2019, after working in the communications team at London Community Foundation where I learnt the importance of grassroots, educational interventions like StreetDoctors. I have an MA in Postcolonial Culture and Global Policy from Goldsmiths, and a BA in History of Art from UCL. This has given me a broad understanding of social issues, particularly surrounding race and class in the UK, and how language and imagery is so important in changing perceptions. StreetDoctors is an exciting and unique movement, leading in taking a public health approach to tackling youth violence and empowering young people. I am thrilled to be involved as Communications and Policy Officer to tell the story of StreetDoctors, raise awareness of this important issue and give a voice to young people.
